The threat and arrival of rain
forced CSU to be flexible during its 50th Anniversary Open
House-Homecoming celebration April 4-5, but many alumni and friends
still showed up for the busy schedule of events, some of which had
to be delayed or relocated indoors. Alumni
traveled from several states, plus at least a couple of foreign
nations. Kicking off the celebration early April 3 was a good
turnout of CSU-educated nurses for the 40th anniversary celebration
of the university's nursing program.

Feeling creative? CSU welcomes essays
Educating successful writers has become a key focus of
Columbus State during recent years, mainly as a result of our 2006
Quality
Enhancement Plan. That's one reason the new
Faculty Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning has
just announced an essay contest inviting students, faculty-staff
(including retirees) and alumni to elaborate personally on the 50th
anniversary slogan: Enriching lives for fifty years. The center
wants to hear how CSU (or Columbus College) has enriched your life.
