CSU encourages stakeholders to start celebrating early by using logo

CSU's 50th Anniversary Steering Committee recognizes the university's contributions with its new theme tagline for the 50th anniversary celebration,  "Enriching lives for fifty years," which will be used extensively with a new logo, above.

Public Relations Director John Lester, a committee member, said CSU employees are encouraged to use the 50th anniversary logo from July 1, 2007 until June 30, 2009 in place of the clock tower logo in all uses, except business cards. This includes:

  • Letterhead stationery
  • Envelopes
  • Publications
  • Ads
  • Flyers
  • Posters
CSU Printing Services began using this logo on July 1 on all stationery and envelopes it prints where the clock tower logo is currently used.

Lester encouraged campus units to remember CSU's publications rule calling for “Columbus State University” to be printed on the front and the back of all publications from the university that go to an external audience. One of those times can be covered by using the new 50th anniversary logo in place of the clock tower logo, which is normally required on the front or the back. The same rules are encouraged, but not required, for publications that reach only internal audiences.

CSU units with separate logo identities are encouraged to use the theme line — Enriching lives for fifty years — as appropriate and can, of course, use the 50th anniversary logo.

The theme line is not required to always run in conjunction with the logo, but when it does, it should be in Times New Roman italics, centered under the logo, and never larger than the text in the logo.

The logo can be downloaded from the above images and is also available in other forms from the Office of Public Relations or Printing Services.
