An Investment in Learning and Service

Learning picture

Imagine a campus environment that draws students from throughout our region and around the world.  Thanks to an enhanced campus environment, Columbus State University has already made significant progress toward its goal to increase its enrollment to 7,500 over the next five years.

Our goals are to enhance student learning and success and to improve retention and student satisfaction. We want to build on our reputation of providing tomorrow’s leaders with a top quality education through student-centered programs and small classes; internship and mentoring opportunities; and excellent faculty and experiential learning. The campaign will allow us to:

Provide students with information, services, social activities and personal development through a Student Success and Leadership Development Center.

Ensure the continuation and growth of the university’s heralded and unique Servant Leadership program, shaping a new generation of high achievers and service-oriented leaders for our community.

Launch an innovative Undergraduate Initiative that will provide students with opportunities to work closely with faculty members through research projects, internships and professional development programs appropriate to their interests.

Strengthen CSU’s Honors Scholarship program to attract and retain the “best and brightest”  those who can serve as role models and “raise the bar” for all students.

Provide additional investment in athletic program development to accelerate the introduction of popular new intercollegiate sports possibly volleyball for women and soccer for men and women.

Ensure library holdings, equipment and technology that will support a learning environment second to none.

Strengthen CSU’s commitment to teaching and learning by committing significant resources to faculty support and development, and to general education and core courses.
