Memorandum of Understanding Addendum (Nursing) This agreement is established to ensure the satisfaction of general core curriculum requirements for students who enroll in the Associate in Science Degree in General Studies at Chattahoochee Valley Community College and subsequently transfer to a baccalaureate program at Columbus State University. Students who complete the following courses at CVCC are guaranteed full credit in transfer and will have satisfied Areas A through E of the core curriculum at CSU. Area F of the core curriculum will be satisfied by completion of the courses indicated below at CVCC. Students who transfer credit to CVCC from another institution will have those courses evaluated for transfer to CSU on an individual basis. The CSU Wellness Requirement (PHED 1205 and one PEDS activity course) may be satisfied at CVCC by taking HED 226 (Wellness). Students with 12 or more months of active military service, students 40 years of age or older, and students with severe physical disabilities are exempt from the Wellness Requirement. 2. The Georgia Constitution Requirement will be satisfied at CVCC by taking POL 211. The Georgia History Requirement will be satisfied at CVCC by taking either HIS 201 or HIS 202. Instructors must agree to include the required content in these courses and must stipulate that the course satisfies the appropriate Georgia requirement in their course syllabi. 3. Students enrolling at CVCC Fall 2006 and after must satisfy Communication Technology Skills and Information Literacy Skills. The Communication Technology Skills component will be satisfied at CVCC by taking CIS 146. The Information Literacy component may be satisfied by taking LIBR 1105 or the Information Literacy Test at CSU. 4. For the purpose of satisfying requirements in Areas A-E, the CSU Catalog of Entry will be the term the student first enrolls in the Associate in Applied Science degree in Computer Information Systems at CVCC. Students must enroll at CSU within six years after first enrolling at CVCC. 5. In compliance with the Board of Regents policy, CVCC students will be required to take the Regents' Test during their first semester of enrollment at CSU. Students that fail the test and whose overall earned hours total over 18 after their first semester at CSU must take the Regents' Skills courses in their second semester. This agreement is effective for students who first enroll in an Associate in Applied Science Degree in General Studies program at Chattahoochee Valley Community College Fall Semester 2006 or after, and who subsequently enroll at Columbus State University. This agreement will be reviewed annually and will be updated to reflect curricular changes at Chattahoochee Valley Community College and Columbus State University.
