Reflections and Retreats
About once a month, all servant leadership students meet together for either a retreat or reflections. This is a time where students and staff can regroup, reconnect, and share their experiences with each other.

During fall semester, students go to Callaway Gardens for a weekend where they relax, participate in team building activities, and just have fun. The annual Cabin Cook-off Competition is always a source of friendly rivalry in which cabins compete to plan and cook the best meal. The winning cabin is awarded the coveted Silver Spoon while various other awards are given for kitchen mishaps, best themes, and most "interesting" dish.

Reflections are usually held in the Community Room of the Pastoral Institute or the President's Club of the Lumpkin Center. Often, these meetings include a guest speaker or presentations by servant leaders in the community. Past speakers have included Mr. Bill Turner, Mr. Marvin Schuster, Mr. Kelvin Redd, and Dr. Ron King.  Speakers for the upcoming year will include Dr. Geil Browning, author of Emergenetics, and Mr. Jim Hunter, author of The World's Most Powerful Leadership Principle.

In addition to speakers and presentations, reflections times also include opportunities for simple fun and fellowship.  Softball games, cookouts, and ice-cream socials are just a few of the relaxing activities where students can just kick back and enjoy themselves.
