Servant Leadership Application
Requirements
Each year, high school seniors have the opportunity to apply for a stipend
in the Servant Leadership Program. A limited number of stipends are
awarded to qualifying students through a competitive selection process.
We are looking for students who have:
- Current or previous
leadership positions
- Academic ability
- Service to the community
- Extracurricular activities
- Commitment to developing self and
others

Servant Leadership Program
Requirements
Participants in the program take a seminar for academic credit each semester
of their college career and participate in community service and mentoring.
A limited number of stipends are awarded to qualifying students through a
competitive selection process. Stipend recipients are expected to meet
the following requirements each semester.
- Maintain a
cumulative 3.0 GPA
- Complete 4-6 hours of community
service per week
- Participate in mentoring an at-risk
child for one hour per week
- Participate in peer mentoring and
dialogue partner programs as assigned
- Attend reflections and retreats
Associate Program Requirements
For students who are interested in servant leadership but either missed the
deadline to apply for a stipend or are not able to commit to the
requirements of the full program, the Associate Program provides many of the
same opportunities with reduced requirements.
Associate members are expected to:
- Complete 20 hours of
community service per semester
- Take LEAD 1705, which satisfies
Area B of the core curriculum
- Participate each semester in a
Servant Leadership seminar or workshop
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0
- Display qualities of high character
