New Strategic Planning Process Under Way

CSU is in the midst of a strategic planning process that requires input from various constituencies to obtain feedback and insight regarding the strategic positioning of CSU.

A Strategic Planning Leadership Group representing faculty, staff and students is meeting to help focus this endeavor. Additionally, a consultant, Alan King, a CSU alumnus, will meet in various public venues to obtain feedback on the strategic planning process. Our hope is that a strategic plan will be finalized in December providing us focused direction moving forward.

Because of the funding formula and six strategic objectives of the University System of Georgia, it's clear we must pursue an enrollment growth strategy. Within that context, we will define our blueprint for action moving forward, driven by a select group of key goals and objectives. Some strategy “givens” will be:

• fill up our housing
• bring freshmen on campus
• expand our degree offerings, programs and residences on the RiverPark Campus, and
• acknowledge and respond to the working professional community.
